I finally found a good pizza dough recipe! What’s even better is that it’s a same-day recipe where the dough only needs 6-8 hours to rise. 🍕 This means if you prep your dough at 9-10am, you can still have a pizza night at home by 6pm!

This recipe is simple-ish, but it’s obviously not a quick one. If you were looking for quick and easy, you wouldn’t be here, curious about making your own pizza dough.

Check out my Reel or TikTok for a quick ASMR recap on how I made my pizza dough.

Recipe

I discovered this amazing viral recipe by Harry at @tablesidepizza on TikTok. The video has 4.4 million views! 😱

Ingredients

Here’s the list of ingredients:

370g warm water
590g flour (split into two portions)
4g honey
2g active dry yeast
12g salt
17g olive oil

Head to Harry’s TikTok video for the full instructions. I just love how his videos are straightforward and easy to follow!

Why do I love this recipe?

It’s not ‘bready’

The first time I tried to make pizza dough using a different recipe, it turned out thick and ‘bready’. This time, I only let my dough rise for half the recommended time, and it still turned out much better.

Here’s what it looked like right before I set it aside to rise.

And here’s how much it grew 3 hours later. 😱

Another super satisfying part was going through the process of shaping the dough balls with my hands. It felt therapeutic. Look how cute they turned out…

I used the dough to make garlic prawn pizzas. Just look at the air pocket in the crust!

I’m pretty confident the next time I make this pizza dough again and let it rise for the minimum of 6 hours, it will turn out even better. ☺️
