It’s been a rollercoaster of a week and when I say ‘rollercoaster’, I mean my hormones and emotions took me on a WILD ride. 🎢

Read on for my highlights and lowlights of the week, or check out my Reel and TikTok below for quick recaps.

Mini vlog of week ending 13 August of life in Sydney. 💕 ✅ Had my monthly online meeting where I run through my social media reports with my freelance client. 🤤 My amazing neighbour took us on an epic foodie adventure to Harris Park aka Sydney’s Little India. 🍦 We went to our local Messina and I got a free birthday scoop! I decided to get coconut and lychee, and my bf always gets the macadamia crunch. 😞 Struggled on Friday & Saturday with cramps and the blues, so barely did much. 😌 Got a pedicure with my bf on Sunday and started feeling human again. 🥦 Ended the week with some pesto broccolini pasta topped with gooey eggs. 9 days until we’re off to Bali! #fy #fyp #foryou #vlog #dailyvlog #weeklyhighlights #minivlog #sydney #sydneylife #lifevlog #sydneycreator

Werk, werk, werk, werk, werk, werk

I usually have an online meeting with one of my major freelance clients during the second week of each month.

I run through my reports for channels like TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X & LinkedIn. The meeting normally goes for an hour and I get pretty drained from talking. 😓

Foodie adventure to Harris Park

On Wednesday night, our neighbour took my boyfriend and I on an epic foodie adventure to Harris Park, which is pretty much the Little India of Sydney. It was about a 30-minute drive from our place in Marrickville.

This experience deserves its own blog (I’ll make one soon), but at a snapshot, we ate:

  • Pani Puri at 9 Flavours of Pani Puri
  • Main meals at Chat Kazz
  • Kulfi sticks at Rocket Kulfi

The mid-week visit was 1,000% worth it, because this entire suburb gets super busy during the weekend.

Date night, extra chilled

Thursday night is usually date night for my bf and I, but we were still on a high from all the food we ate the night before! So we kept it low key and went to Messina HQ for a post-dinner treat. 🍦

I almost forgot that I had a cheeky free birthday scoop on the app, and ended up getting coconut and lychee. My boyfriend always gets the macadamia crunch.

Period pain and fuzzy brain

By the end of the work week, I was struggling with low energy and my cramps had kicked in, literally.

Luckily I bought a heat pack from Bed Bath N’ Table the weekend before. That helped me push through while I worked from the couch for the rest of the afternoon.

My weekend kicked off filled with delulu thoughts and crying at the smallest inconveniences.

This TikTok pretty much summed up my entire Saturday.

She is reborn

I was feeling like a human again on Sunday!

My bf took me to get a pedicure at our local fave called Ocean Nails at the Marrickville Metro. I always pick boring, neutral colours like nude, but this time I picked a pastel baby blue. 🩵

Fresh restock

After our pedicure, I grabbed some light groceries including some fresh veggies from Panetta Mercato. I could honestly spend forever in this store looking at all the different pastas and cheeses. 😱

Sunday night pasta 🥦

Ended the week with a quick vegetarian pesto pasta with broccolini, gooey eggs and parmesan.

Check out how I made this pesto pasta here in my previous blog ft. Reel & TikTok recaps.

Current thought

Mentally, it was a tough week. But sometimes, you just need to take a walk, get some fresh air, and appreciate the little things. 💜

P.S. 10 days until I fly out to Bali for a winter escape! 🌴✈️
