A BIT OFF TOPIC

Hello, August!

The start of each month always gives me a little mental refresh. Although, I can’t believe it’s already August and there are only 4 months left in 2023.

But first, work admin 

I usually kick off the month with some freelance work admin. This includes spending the first few days prepping social media reports for my clients, exporting reports, working through data and stats, and prepping my monthly slides. I also send out my invoices – that’s my fave part, of course.

New shoes for every day

I got new sneakers, all because I tried on my friend’s and thought they were super cute. Plus, the platform is good for me, a short girlie.

These are the Nike Women’s Court Vision Alta sneakers – I ordered mine from THE ICONIC. Clearly I’m still not over the all-white sneaker look.

Growing new plant babies

We’re trying to germinate acorn, lemon and plum seeds – all from my boyfriend’s family farm. My dream is to have these grow in our future home one day.

The plums are these baby multicoloured ones that I picked from the side of the road, and they were the best tasting things I’d ever come across! If all goes well, the seeds take about 2 weeks to sprout before you can plant them.

We’ve also started growing fresh basil and mint on our balcony, so I can grab some fresh herbs whenever I’m making salads and pastas.

Never skipping lunch again

I made myself a Friday lunch treat at home with a focaccia loaf from my local bakery Goodwood Bakeshop in Marrickville.

The focaccia itself was already loaded with pumpkin, goats cheese and sage. So, I didn’t really needed to add much to it. Check out how I made it here.

New phone, who dis?

It’s been a long time coming, but I FINALLY upgraded my phone to the iPhone 14 Pro Max! 😱

Before this, I had my iPhone X for almost 5 years and I was seriously starting to feel like a boomer. 😳 Unboxing my new baby felt sooooo good. The quality of the camera is amazing and it’s nice to not have to charge my phone after editing/uploading one video.

Current thought

I’m counting down the days until I’m back in Bali later this month for a little remote working trip to escape the cold! 🌴✈️
